After Success with Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas, KUB Awarded Projects for Icon 3 and Icon 4
Following our successful delivery of interiors for Icon of the Seas and its sister vessel Star of the Seas, KUB is honored to announce that we have been selected for two additional Icon-class projects: the upcoming third ship, now officially named Legend of the Seas, and the fourth vessel in the series (name not yet announced)
The Largest Cruise Ships Ever
Both Icon of the Seas (in service since early 2024) and Star of the Seas (set to launch in mid-2025) have redefined the standard for cruise vacations with Royal Caribbean. As the largest cruise ships ever built, the Icon-class vessels set new global records for size, capacity, and onboard innovation. With a gross tonnage of approximately 250,800 GT, a length of 365 meters, and capacity for up to 7,600 guests, these ships push the boundaries of what’s possible at sea. Icon of the Seas, currently the world’s largest cruise ship, is not only an engineering marvel but also a floating destination—featuring uniquely designed neighborhood-style public areas that seamlessly combine entertainment, dining, and immersive experiences.
Our Role in Icon 3 and Icon 4
KUB will once again contribute to the design, fabrication, and installation of the public areas aboard both the Legend of the Seas (Icon 3) and the upcoming unnamed Icon 4. Our responsibilities include creating bespoke interior elements—custom furniture, themed zones, finishes, and detailing—that align with the distinctive identities of those ships and elevate the guest experience.
KUB + Royal Caribbean: A Winning Partnership
Our continued collaboration with Royal Caribbean, as part of the Meyer Turku delivery team, reflects confidence in KUB’s ability to deliver complex, immersive hospitality interiors at sea. From Icon of the Seas to Star and now Icon 3 and Icon 4, we’re proud to support the expansion of the Icon-class fleet and shape the future of cruising design.
Stay tuned for more updates on Legend of the Seas and the newest Icon-class build — including design previews, production highlights, and installation milestones.
