House K

The design of the house originates from the topography of the terrain itself, which, due to its steep slope, dictated a house design that gently terraces down the plot. Access from the upper northern side allowed us to allocate relatively little space for traffic surfaces while still maintaining functionality.

The northern partially recessed facade along the road is restrained and unobtrusive, while the southern facade, with simple design elements such as window frames and wooden accents, is more richly designed and gives the house a touch of coziness. The ground floor is dedicated to living and service areas, while the upper floor houses the master bedroom, children's rooms, and two bathrooms. All living spaces face south with open views of the surroundings. In order to maintain views throughout the house, the ground floor narrows from the entrance to the outdoor terrace. This design choice preserves unobstructed views to the outside. The outdoor arrangement with a covered terrace, summer kitchen, outdoor bathroom, and swimming pool offers ample space for quality leisure time, enclosed by the house on two sides, which shields the view of the access road and provides privacy.

Thoughtfully custom-designed furniture and a consistent design throughout the house give the interior a coherent and functional layout that feels unobtrusive and timeless. The gentle white with black and wooden accents continues from the exterior to the interior and vice versa. The heart of the house is the living area with a large kitchen island and an organic seating arrangement, which adds a sense of comfort in the open space with views of the garden and surroundings.
