The modern single-storey house will be thoughtfully inserted into the existing steep terrain, allowing for the best orientation of the spaces within the building itself and for smooth movement around the building.
From the north-west side, the access road will form a courtyard and the main entrance of the building. From the entrance side, the house will be more enclosed, thus elegantly hiding the luxury of the other rooms, which will face onto their own garden with views over the valley. The house follows the wishes and lifestyle of a family that likes to spend its days off together, in spaces that offer plenty of activities as well as many hidden corners for relaxation.
From the ground floor we will descend to the partially excavated basement where we have designed two children's rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a larger fitness room, laundry room, garage and technical room. The ground floor will comprise a large living and lounge area, which will be directly connected to a spacious covered outdoor terrace and entrance to the pool terrace.
The attic floor will be for parents. We have designed a spacious bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe, and in addition there will be a bathroom with sauna and an office with a south-facing terrace, which will provide plenty of natural light for the occupants while they work.
To add the icing on the cake, we have added timber slats to the façade envelope, which will be dynamically arranged to soften the dramatic shape of the building.
